Brockton School
Business Teacher
I have been a BC high school educator since 1991 specifically in business, computer science and ICT courses. My passion for global and lifelong learning is evident in my education, work experience and interests. My education started in the Honours Computer Science program at University of Manitoba, then I completed my Commerce degree at the University of Texas, and my Secondary Teaching and Masters of Adult Learning and Global Change degrees at UBC. In 2006, I founded the NGO, Education Beyond Borders, that trains and mentors teachers in under resourced regions internationally in global best practices in teaching and learning. As an avid traveler (66 countries and counting) and amateur photographer, I believe you never stop learning. I advocate for learning in real-world contexts whether local or global, which is an integral part of the courses I teach, and I strive to inspire risk-taking and agency in my students.
